This policy explains what we collect when you visit smartyplantsfl.com or shop with us, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. Short version: we collect what we need to fill your order and stay in touch, and we don't sell your information.

What we collect

• You give us: name, email, phone, billing and delivery address, order details, project details for design or installation, event registrations, reviews, and anything you write to us.
• Payment information: handled by our payment processors. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of your card — never the full card number.
• Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and time on site, gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
• In store: point-of-sale transaction records, and security-camera footage on the property.

How we use it

• Process, fulfill, deliver, and support your orders and service projects.
• Answer questions and provide plant care guidance.
• Send order and delivery updates, and — if you opted in — The Dirt newsletter, event invitations, and occasional offers.
• Run and improve the site, our inventory, and our merchandising.
• Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies keep your cart working, remember preferences, and let us see which pages people actually use. We use analytics and advertising tools that may set their own cookies and measure site activity. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do. We honor Global Privacy Control and "Do Not Track" signals where we're able to detect them.

Email and text messages

You can unsubscribe from marketing email any time using the link at the bottom of any message, or by emailing us. Transactional messages about an active order or project will still reach you. If you opt into texts, reply STOP to end them.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who need it to do their job for us — payment processing, e-commerce and website hosting, delivery and installation partners, email marketing, scheduling, and analytics — and they're limited to that purpose. We also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money.

How long we keep it

We keep order and project records as long as needed to support the purchase and to satisfy tax, accounting, and legal requirements — typically several years. Marketing contact information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections and PCI-compliant processors, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights
